The Thirty-Nine Articles: Their Place and Use Today. Required papers 1. 4-page paper comparing and contrasting what Browne has to say with what another commentary has to say (for example, Griffith Thomas; Bicknell; Burnett, Boultbee, or Litton) on Article 9, 11, 17, or 19. Focus on the range of interpretations – don’t get bogged down in Scriptural or historical support. In this paper, you must demonstrate that you have interacted with the Other Requirements: 1. Study the order of the Articles of the 39 Articles. You will need to write down the order of the Articles in the presence of a proctor (the priest of your local parish or some other parishioner would be ideal) who can verify that you have written the order of the Articles in their presence without the aid of notes. 2. Send a note stating that you have read the required texts in their entirety and watched all of the videos. Paper 1 = 20% Paper 2 = 20% Final Paper = 55% Memorization of Articles = 5%
