The following is my topic and argument : One example that comes to mind for me is the idea that sports were a huge part of why universities across the nation decided to segregate. Not everyone agrees with this idea. There are plenty of people who hold the position that universities were just more forward thinking than other institutions. Looking at the history of it, you can see that many of the earliest colleges to integrate were those with high end or budding sports programs.
